VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES @ IA

What Can You Do To Help?

Citizen Advocacy (Long Term)
Being a friend to someone can make a real difference.

Being a Citizen Advocate is about…
representing the interests of your CA Partner
being a friend, someone who is trusted
opening the door to other possibilities
having a shared belief that everyone has a right to be heard!

Young Peoples' (Peer) Advocacy
Are you……18 to 25?
looking for an opportunity to gain experience of
working with vulnerable people of a similar age?
involved in a school based project that requires
you to undertake a community service?

By offering issue based advocacy to Young People with
Complex needs, we aim to raise awareness in your local area

Please contact: Sarah Walker

Crisis Advocacy (Short Term)
Where the voice of a person needs to be heard and action taken

Crisis Advocacy is time limited for a specific purpose
Do you have knowledge and experience that would enable you to…
resolve conflict
assist with access to services
support in health matters
Interests of a vulnerable person can get misplaced,
so you are there to maintain the focus of those involved
