Tracie & Tracy - Great For A Giggle!

This is a very new Partnership that has only been active for about two months but when we met recently both said they felt as if they’d known each other for five years!

Tracy, Citizen Advocate says; “I heard about IA when I worked to support people with learning disabilities and an Advocate visited.  I have always wanted to do voluntary work but didn’t quite know what to do.  Advocacy seemed to be a good idea.  I thought my induction was good as I had time and information to decide if I really wanted to be an Advocate and I. was given an insight of what it takes.  When I met Tracie I thought ‘great’! She was very nice and welcoming and great for a giggle.  I’ll leave Tracie to tell you some of the things we’ve done over the last two months.  Our plans for the future are to remain in a happy friendship and to have more trips out, maybe we’ll even join the gym together”.

Tracie, Citizen Advocacy Partner says; “I heard. about IA at the Social Services office. I thought that having an Advocate would help me to meet more people and to make friends and to do more things.  When I met Tracy for the first time I was feeling very nervous but also excited.  Already, Tracy and I have been out to Blakemere Craft Centre, been out for tea, had long chats and we’ve been out for lunch to the Mill House in Northwich which was nice.  We’ve made a calendar together on the laptop and in the near future I’d like to go to the gym and maybe do some cooking together.  I’d recommend IA to anyone who’s thinking of. having a friend or who needs help with other things in life.  It has helped me a great deal”.
