2007 has begun a new chapter in IA’s history.  In the future we’ll need to maintain a funding base for the work we do and we’ll need to embrace the changes that this will inevitably bring.  These changes will make IA a stronger organisation and will put in place safeguards for volunteers, vulnerable people and staff.  

Many Advocates have already completed the form for CRB (Criminal Record Bureau) checks and we thank them for their time.

There will be more policy and procedural changes for us to adjust to in the coming year and I believe the next thing for us to consider is car insurance.  I ask for your continued help and co-operation in this and I know that we can all work together successfully as we have done in the past to ensure that Citizen Advocacy is a reality for people with learning disabilities in our area.
